EASY-FIT SILO WEIGHING ASSEMBLY LEVELS AUTOMATICALLY

The latest weighing assembly from Thames Side Sensors has been designed for easy installation under silos.   Available in 25 and 50 tonne capacities, the T40 LA has an oversized, load-spreading base plate which removes the need for additional support plates during installation.   At the same time, the top plate levels itself by tilting and rocking in two planes, automatically compensating for errors caused by steelwork misalignment.

The T40 LA is a cost effective alternative to less accurate level sensing systems.   It comprises a stainless steel shear beam load cell housed in rugged top and bottom mounting brackets.   The sensor is fully welded for durability and sealed to IP68, making it suitable for installation in dirty and wet environments including wash-down areas.   It is also certified explosion-proof for use in flammable atmospheres.

A distinctive black "autophoretic" coating protects the mounting brackets against corrosion in damp environments and those where harsh chemicals are used.   The coating remains ductile under compression, removing the possibility of cracking or flaking during use.

Both 25 tonne and 50 tonne versions of the T40's load cell are protected against errors caused by fluctuating ambient temperatures, with "zero shift" automatically compensated for in the range -10^oC to +40^oC.

For increased safety where installations may be exposed to strong winds or even earth tremors, the assembly has a substantial lift-off protection feature.   The T40 LA load cell assembly is covered by a five-year warranty.
