To augment the current range of low capacity load cells from Thames Side Sensors, the T12 and T12A single point load cells have been launched.
These 2 load cell models increase Thames Side’s single point capacity range up to 400kg. They are ideal for legal-for-trade weighing of platforms up to 800mm x 800mm in harsh operating environments.
Many modern check-weighers, especially those in the food processing industries, are installed in environments requiring legal-for-trade load cells resistant to wash-down steam cleaning and high levels of humidity. The stainless steel T12 load cell fulfils these requirements with its OIML C3 approval, a fully welded and hermetically sealed construction protected to IP68/IP69K and a durable, tough polyurethane cable. Polyurethane has a higher resistance to UV radiation and chemicals than more commonly available PVC cables, so investing in the T12 load cell for check-weighers is investing in a future-proofed solution.
Modern filling and dosing machines also require the highest levels of precision and reliability, as an under-filled/over-filled vessel or production line down-time to replace a failed load cell is an unacceptably expensive scenario for many clients. The stainless steel T12 and nickel plated steel T12A load cells are approved to OIML R60 Class C3 and C4 respectively, with high resistance to off-centre loads. The T12 model is a noise-insensitive design due to the 6-wire cable including sense wires. This combination of features results in high precision and assured performance. The T12 is available from 15kg to 400kg with ingress protection to IP68/IP69K; the T12A is available from 50kg to 400kg with protection to IP66. Each model is supplied in 2 body sizes.
