Thames Side offers compression load cells (sometimes referred to as rocker column load cells) in either analogue (analog) or digital formats. These are ideal when high accuracy is required in truck scale (or weighbridge), railway scales, tank and silo weighing applications.
These truck scale load cells have a special Polyurethane cable with high resistance to rodents (rats). Special armoured cable or flexible conduit is not normally needed to protect this cable against rodents (rats).
As analogue (analog) load cells, models T35, T34X and T34 are available.
Model T35 has a complete stainless steel construction and is fully welded and hermetically sealed to IP68 and IP69K, with approval to OIML R60 C4 (4000 divisions). It has been used extensively in truck scales worldwide. A dedicated, highly engineered LA35 mounting accessory for truck scale / weighbridge / train scale applications is available. Its robust, very reliable design ensures anti-rotation using parallel flat edges.
The model T34X can be found in truck scales across the world, even in environments with extreme temperatures, thanks to its stainless steel construction and its robust anti-rotation design (using parallel flat edges). It is fully welded and hermetically sealed to IP68 and IP69K, and it is approved to OIML R60 C4 (4000 divisions) up to 60 000kg capacity. Dedicated, highly engineered mounting accessories for truck scale / weighbridge / train scale applications are available.
Model T34 is the oldest model in the range and ensures anti-roration via hardened (heat treated) pins. It is fully welded and hermetically sealed to IP68 and IP69K, carrying approval to OIML R60 C4 (4000 divisions) up to 60 000kg capacity. ATEX and IECEx hazardous area approval is an optional extra, with special certification for use in dust zones 20, 21, and 22 that does not require safety barriers. Dedicated, highly engineered mounting accessories for truck scale / weighbridge / train scale applications are available. Additionally, a special T34-SILO version was designed specifically to allow the use of the T34 load cell for cost-effective weighing of silos / tanks / process vessels at a very good quality/price ratio.
As digital load cells, models T35D and T34D are available. Both types have an OPEN protocol, like all of our digital load cells.
The digital model T35D is an excellent solution for high accuracy weighbridges / truck scales, thanks to its standard OIML R60 C4 (4000 divisions) approval but also a special C5 version which is approved to OIML R60 C5 (5000 divisions). The T35D allows for faster setup and commissioning of the scale with individual load cell diagnostics and fast replacement as reasons to purchase the T35D model.
Also available is the digital model T34D for use in weighbridges/truck scales or even silo, vessel or tank weighing applications. where digital load cells are desired. The T34D allows for faster setup and commissioning of the weighing system, with individual load cell diagnostics available.
Note: all of our digital load cells have an OPEN protocol, which is a very interesting benefit for weighbridge / truck scale manufacturers.
