Silo / tank manufacturers and process engineers are responsible for ensuring that the used materials and components comply with the latest directives. Load cells and fabricated (welded) mounting accessories used for the weighing of silos and tanks bear a static load and they could be considered within the scope of the European dtandard (or "norm") EN 1090 and the Construction Products Regulation. The interpretation and implementation of these documents will vary from country to country and the client must individually examine their individual requirements.
The specially certified version of the VC3500/LA3500 weighing assembly from Thames Side utilises a galvanised mounting accessory. This product will give customers additional security of performance and will also save the time and costs of third party verification of its static strength.
This special version must be specified before the point of ordering and is manufactured as a special option.
